Condoleezza Rice and Richard Sherman make an interesting pair rooting for Stanford

Former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice is a huge fan of the NFL. She also loves college sports, at least when Stanford is playing.

So it's no surprise Rice was all smiles and more than happy to take a selfie with Seattle Seahawks cornerback and Stanford alum Richard Sherman when the pair found themselves seated together Thursday at Stanford's Sweet 16 game in Memphis against Dayton.

Sherman tweeted a selfie with Rice and the two were later spotted chatting it up early in the first half.

Rice has been a professor at Stanford since 2009 and also is the director of Global Center for Business and the Economy at the school. Sherman is a Super Bowl champion and not very well liked in San Francisco. He also has been known to scare a sideline reporter or two after a big win.
