Austin-area playoff schedules for UIL softball regional quarterfinals matchups

This week's Austin-area high school softball playoff schedule for regional quarterfinal matchups:

Class 6A

Cedar Ridge (29-2) vs. Schertz Clemens (27-10): (Game 1) 6 p.m. Thursday, Schertz Clemens; (2) 6 p.m. Friday, Cedar Ridge; (3) 11 a.m. Saturday, Wimberley, if neededLake Travis (24-13) vs. Bowie (27-8): One game — 7 p.m. Friday, Dripping Springs (one game). This is a rematch of District 26-6A rivals; Bowie held a 2-1 advantage over the Cavaliers in the regular season, as Lake Travis won 6-5 at Bowie on March 22 but then were swept by the Dawgs at home on April 19 and April 22, 7-4 and 7-6.

Class 5A

Liberty Hill (24-6) vs. Smithson Valley (30-7): (1) 6 p.m. Thursday, Smithson Valley; (2) 5 p.m. Friday, Liberty Hill; (3) 7:30 p.m. Friday, Liberty Hill, if needed

Leander (32-5) vs. Hays (23-15): (1) 6 p.m. Thursday, Hays; (2) 6 p.m. Friday, Leander; (3) 2 p.m. Saturday, Leander, if needed. This is a rematch of District 25-5A rivals; Hays won both regular-season matchups — 17-14 at Leander on March 5 and 10-4 at Hays on April 2. The Hawks were district runners-up behind Liberty Hill.

Class 4A

Gateway College Prep (25-6-2) vs. Salado (33-1): (1) 7 p.m. Wednesday, Georgetown; (2) 7 p.m. Thursday, Georgetown; (3) 7 p.m. Friday, Georgetown, if neededBurnet (18-10-1) vs. Waco Robinson (30-7): (1) 6 p.m. Thursday, Burnet; (2) 6 p.m. Friday, Robinson; (3) 2 p.m. Saturday, Robinson, if needed

Class 2A

Thorndale vs. Thrall: (1) 6 p.m. Wednesday, Hutto; (2) 6 p.m. Thursday, Hutto; (3) 6 p.m. Friday, Huto, if needed. This is a rematch of District 27-2A rivals; Thorndale, which won district, swept the Tigers during the regular season (5-2 on March 11 and 5-4 on April 5).

TAPPS state tournament: Hyde Park vs. Victoria St. Joseph, 10:30 a.m. Monday, UT-Arlington (state semifinal)
