Los Angeles Rams wide receiver, and former Ravenwood High star, Van Jefferson, was traded to the Atlanta Falcons Tuesday, according to Rap Sheet.

The Rams and Falcons also swapped late-round 2025 draft picks. The Rams will receive the Falcons' sixth-round selection while Atlanta picks up L.A.'s seventh-round pick.

The 6-foot-1 Jefferson has just eight catches for 108 yards for the Rams who are 2-3 and trailing San Francisco and Seattle in the NFC West. The emergence of L.A. rookie wideout, Puka Nacua, and second-year pro Tutu Atwell has slowed Jefferson's production this season. The Rams' Cooper Kupp is expected to return from his hamstring injury that sidelined him the past four weeks.

Jefferson, who is in the final year of his rookie contract, helped the Rams capture Super Bowl LVI, a 23-20 win over Cincinnati. He had 50 receptions for 802 yards that season and finished with 101 catches for 1,499 yards and 10 touchdowns in just over three seasons in Los Angeles.

Jefferson was a two-time All Midstate selection and an U.S. Army All American at Ravenwood. In two seasons with the Raptors he had 154 catches for 2,474 yards and 27 TDs and helped lead Ravenwood to a state runner-up finish and 14-1 record in 2015. He had seven catches for 117 yards and a TD in the Class 6A championship game.

The Brentwood native signed with Ole Miss and was named Freshman All-SEC. He transferred to Florida after the 2017 season. He had 175 catches for 2,159 yards and 16 TDs in Gainesville before being selected in the second round of the 2020 NFL Draft by the Rams.
