Arizona Coyotes' silence on Salt Lake City relocation rumors angers fans
The Arizona Coyotes and the NHL have kept quiet about the relocation rumors for Arizona's NHL franchise as they reach a boiling point.
Dailyfaceoff.com reported Wednesday that the NHL is drafting a version of the Coyotes' schedule for next season with the team playing in Salt Lake City, writing that an announcement about a sale and relocation of the team could come as soon as April 18.
The Coyotes had no comment on the reports that the team could move to Utah, according to ESPN, which also wrote that the NHL didn't have any comment.
The lone word we've received from the team in the wake of the news?
The team released a 30-second video on X, formerly known as Twitter, at 12:23 p.m. Wednesday with the caption: "Committed to keeping Coyotes Hockey in the desert & building an arena in Phoenix."

Social media slammed Coyotes for silence on relocation to Utah talk:
The Coyotes decline comment but they'll put out their little videos just to toy with an emotionally distraught fan base today. Nice display of leadership over there. They know damn well they're about to move to SLC. https://t.co/PdVyPkOGLG

Then refute Seravalli, stop the sale, and win the auction. The silence from the team's management and ownership today speaks louder than Seravalli's tweets.

So when is ownership actually going to say something.

Guessing the social media team and owners are not on the same page?

i don't think it's going to happen you guys are as good as gone.

This definitely feels like confirmation that they are moving to SLC

No amount of tweeting will manifest it

So, what's the plan? Are the rumors centered around if the auction falls through? Would it be a temporary move til the arena is built to test the SLC market before their expansion? Are the Yotes going to get a brand new Coyotes team? What's the plan here guys?

One thing the Coyotes got right in the video? It opened with the line: "Nothing about hockey in Arizona is easy."
Coyotes fans know that all too well.
How much longer will there be hockey in Arizona?
