Another local game added to AJ Dybantsa's high school basketball schedule

AJ Dybantsa transferred to play high school basketball in California, but the Brockton native will come back home to play two games in January.

In mid-October, it was announced that Dybantsa, the top recruit in the Class of 2025, and his new Prolific Prep teammates will play in the 2024 Spalding Hoophall Classic at Springfield College against Florida's Montverde Academy, which is headlined by Cooper Flagg (the top recruit in the Class of 2024) on Sunday, Jan. 14, 2024, at 7:30 p.m.

There was another local game recently added to the schedule. On Thursday, January 11, Prolific Prep will square off against Orangeville Prep (Canada) at BC High at 7:30, Dybantsa's father, Ace, told The Enterprise. Tickets and Dybantsa's No. 3 jersey will be sold at the door.

Dybantsa, 16, reclassified to the Class of 2025 on Oct. 11 and currently holds scholarship offers from North Carolina, Connecticut, Texas, Georgetown, Michigan, Boston College and others.

He won Gatorade Player of the Year at St. Sebastian's as a freshman last season, averaging 19.1 points, 9.6 rebounds, 2.9 assists and 2.5 blocks per game on 60.8 percent shooting from the field and 41 percent from behind the three-point line.
