A pitch invader scored a goal while an actual goal happened in the Honduran league (No, really)

First, look at the 94th-minute equalizer by Roger Rojas in Sunday’s installment of the Honduran Superclasico between 30-time champions Olimpia and 14-time champions Motagua. After a long scramble around the Motagua box, Roger Rojas of the home team finally smashed in the 2-2 equalizer — the Clausura game’s third goal after the 85th minute.

Now look more carefully.

A lot more carefully.

See that? Over on the other side of the box? That bare-chested pitch invader dribbling a second ball and clumsily scuffing it into net just as the real game ball goes in as well?

That really happened. At the key moment of the biggest game in Honduras.

Motagua are understandably furious about this, especially since they are the away team and therefore not responsible for stadium security. But referee Oscar Moncada has no interest in their protests, waving off the Motagua players as more people seem to walk onto the field from the stands to celebrate with Rojas.

The goal was allowed to stand. Although it only counted for one point on the scoreboard.
