The 22 girls lacrosse player to watch from MetroWest and Milford area in 2024

After an incredible 2023 girls lacrosse season that saw Lincoln-Sudbury end Westwood's two-year reign to claim its first state title since 1988 and Dover-Sherborn complete a three-peat in Division 4, there's enough talent back to raise even more trophies.

Five Daily News All-Stars return after a stellar season from teams around the area.

Wayland played for a Division 2 state title, while Franklin reached the Division 1 Final Four.

There are Division 1 commits, dynamic attackers, lockdown defenders and brick wall goalies all over the area. Check out these 22 girls lacrosse players to watch in MetroWest and the Milford area:

Paige Anderson, Jr., Nimpuc

The midfielder was a Division 3 honorable mention all-star in 2023 after the Warriors reached the Division 4 Sweet 16.

Tara Battaglino, So., Wellesley

She compiled 100 points in her first varsity season with 70 goals and 30 assists. Battaglino added 68 draw controls and 29 caused turnovers for the Raiders, who were the No. 2 seed in the Division 1 state tournament and advanced to the quarterfinals. She was named the Bay State Carey Division MVP and made both the EMGLCA second-team and the American Select Massachusetts Team 1.

Maria Ceruti, Sr., Nipmuc

She helped the Warriors win a third straight CMADA championship in the fall and will be aiming for more trophies in the spring. Ceruti was an honorable mention Division 4 Central Mass. all-star last year.

Eliza Chapman, Sr., Wellesley

The defender and midfielder was a Bay State Conference all star last year. She'll play at Denison next season. She also coaches in Wellesley's youth program.

Grace Chiota, Jr., Algonquin

The attacker also fills in at defender or midfield if the team needs. She was an honorable mention Central Mass. Division 1 all-star last spring. Chiota also plays for the Central Lacrosse Club Black team.

Gabby Dergham, Sr., Tri-County

She was named a Mayflower all-star in 2023. The Cougars qualified for the Division 4 state tournament and fell in overtime.

Cayla Ehrlich, Sr., Westborough

She ranked seventh in the Mid-Wach A with 56 points last spring, including 42 goals. Ehrlich was an honorable mention Division 2 Central Mass. all-star, as the Rangers played in the Division 2 state tournament.

Harper Friedholm, Sr., Lincoln-Sudbury

The Cornell commit racked up nearly every honor last season. She was a Dual County League All-Star, USA Lacrosse All-American and EMGLCA second-team as a midfielder/defender, as the Warriors won the Division 1 state championship for the first time since 1988.

Emma Gosselin, Sr., Hopedale

Though probably better known for her field hockey family, she was also a Division 3 Central Mass. honorable mention lacrosse all-star a year ago. Hopedale

Andersen Hastings, Jr., Holliston

She was named a TVL all-star as a sophomore last spring. The Panthers advanced to the Division 2 Round of 16.

Elizabeth Johnson, Sr., Marlborough

She was named an honorable mention Central Mass. all-star last spring.

Hannah Lawrence, Sr., Natick

She made her third straight Bay State Conference all-star team a season ago. The Merrimack commit stopped 243 shots last spring, turning away 55 percent of the shots she faced. Natick advanced to the Sweet 16 of the Division 1 state tournament.

Fallon Lozano, Jr., Nipmuc

The Dual Valley Conference all-star has surpassed 200 career points a season ago with 89 goals and 30 assists. She led Nipmuc to the Division 4 Round of 16. Lozano represented Team Massachusetts Class of 2025 at the American Select tournament in August.

Anna Magennis, Sr., Ashland

She poured in 77 goals with 21 assists en route to the Division 2 Round of 16. The Tri-Valley all-star has 142 goals and 172 points. Magennis will play at UConn next season.

Olivia Melanson, Jr., Medway

Fresh off leading the Mustangs to a TVL basketball title and the Division 3 hoops Final Four, she'll try to get Medway back to the Division 4 state tournament this spring. Melanson was a TVL all-star last spring after scoring 45 goals and leading the team in draw controls and assists.

Olivia Norchi, Sr., Natick

The Redhawks' MVP last year put away 99 goals with 31 assists and 82 draw controls. She is both an EMGLCA and a multi-time Bay State Conference All-Star. Norchi will play Division 1 lacrosse at Colgate next season.

McKay Pratt, Sr., Wellesley

The Bentley girls soccer commit is a fierce defender on the lacrosse field. She was a Bay State Conference all-star last spring. Pratt also plays for Mass Elite.

Sam Savoie, Jr., Assabet

She notched 94 points a year ago with a Colonial-leading 82 goals. Savoie was an honorable mention Central Mass. Division 4 all-star.

Julia Schreiber, Sr., Ashland

She was a Tri-Valley league all-star a season ago. Schreiber notched her 100th career point against Dover-Sherborn in May. The three-sport athlete also plays for the Laxachusetts club program.

Kaitlyn Uller, Jr., Wellesley

The Davidson commit was named both a Bay State Conference All-Star and an honorable mention Boston Globe All-Scholastic. She played in the state final as a freshman and helped the Raiders reach the quarterfinals a year ago.

Lilly Villaflor, Sr., Westborough

The face off specialist will play for Villanova next season. She was named an honorable mention Central Mass. Division 1 all-star last year. Villafor also has made the America Select Team Red, MA/RI Team 3 and the Under Armour 150.

Luci Walden, Jr., Bellingham

She was named a TVL all-star last season. The defender and midfielder also plays for Gold Star Lacrosse.
