Four Somerset County baseball teams are having successful campaigns in 2024.

Conemaugh Township, North Star, Somerset and Windber all have winning records and are trending in the right direction ahead of the postseason.

Here is a look at the players across the county having breakout seasons. None of these athletes were on the preseason players to watch list.

D.J. Bambino, so., Conemaugh Township

Bambino is batting .389 and is tied for the team lead with 21 hits. He has scored a team-high 22 runs and has added 15 RBIs.

Grant Boozer, so., Shanksville-Stonycreek

Boozer has 13 hits, 15 RBIs and 10 runs scored, and is batting .333.

Carter Dunmyer, so., Somerset

Dunmyer is batting .448 with 13 hits, six RBIs and nine runs scored in 13 games played. He is second on the team with eight stolen bases.

Durst is batting .387 with 12 hits, four RBIs and 12 runs scored in 13 games. He is second on the team with eight stolen bases.

Braeden Flower, so., Somerset

Flower has a team-high 16 RBIs. He is batting .378 with 17 hits and nine runs scored in 14 games played. Flower is 4-1 with a 1.53 ERA in eight appearances.

Kahne Foltz, jr., Somerset

Foltz is batting .302 out of the leadoff spot with 13 hits, 10 RBIs and 14 runs scored.

Mason Horner, fr., Windber

Horner has 14 hits with five RBIs and eight runs scored in 14 games. He is batting .368.

Vance Kimmel, sr., North Star

Kimmel is 5-0 with a 0.00 ERA in five appearances. He's allowed just 13 hits, seven walks and struck out 39 over 22⅓ innings of work.

Lane Lambert, jr., Somerset

Lambert is batting .444 with 16 hits, 15 RBIs, 16 runs scored and a team-high nine stolen bases. Lambert has a 2.74 ERA with a save in five appearances.

Karter Schurg, jr., Meyersdale

Schurg is batting .371 with 13 hits, seven RBIs and five runs scored in 12 games.

Logan Serenko, fr., Windber

Serenko has compiled 14 hits, nine RBIs and 15 runs scored in 14 games. He is batting .333.

Max Trimpey, jr., Rockwood

Trimpey has scored a team-high 11 runs. He is batting .412 with 14 hits and four RBIs in 11 games.

Luke Weber, jr., Conemaugh Township

Weber is batting .405 with 15 hits, 11 RBIs and eight runs scored in 15 games. He is 3-0 with a 1.91 ERA in five appearances.
