2024 NFL Draft profile: Harrison Mevis is known as the 'Thiccer Kicker'
Harrison Mevis, a kicker from Warsaw, Indiana, was one of four kickers invited to the 2024 NFL Scouting Combine in Indianapolis.
Mevis kicked four years for the Missouri Tigers, becoming their all-time scoring leader (405 points) on 78.3% field goal accuracy and 147-of-148 PATs. His Southeastern Conference-record 61-yard field goal provided the winning points over Kansas State in 2023 and prompted a field storming.
Mevis' brother Andrew also kicked for Warsaw and at Iowa State. Andrew Mevis is on the St. Louis roster of the new United Football League.
Harrison Mevis is the 'Thiccer Kicker'
At 5-11 and 243 pounds, Mevis has a bulkier build than many kickers, sparking the nickname the "Thiccer Kicker."
"I took it as a compliment and I kind of liked it, so I stuck with it," he told ESPN during the season.

From NFL.com's Lance Zierlein: Mevis was one of the hottest kickers in college football in the 2021 season but has failed to reach those accuracy standards since that time. While he holds the SEC record for longest field goal make at 61 yards, his stroke and ball flight are inconsistent from distance. Mevis has solid accuracy over the course of his career but is below the preferred 90 percent mark on kicks under 40 yards over the last couple of years. He might not be a reliable kickoff option, which ― paired with his average 2023 season ― might make it tough for him to find an NFL home.
