2023-24 NBA City Edition jerseys, ranked from best to worst

City Edition jerseys have been around in the NBA since 2016, giving fans some absolute gems to purchase for the past eight or so years.

Of course, art requires taking risks and that means there have been some absolute duds in there as well, jerseys that are remembered not fondly but comedically.

The 2023-24 NBA City Edition jerseys were recently fully unveiled so we decided to rank them from best to worst. Note: None of us are artists or fashion designers so this is purely from a lamen’s point of view.

Check out our full ranking of the 2023-24 City Edition jerseys below.

Toronto Raptors

Phoenix Suns

San Antonio Spurs

Charlotte Hornets

Utah Jazz

Milwaukee Bucks

Boston Celtics

As the saying goes: Why mess with perfection? And considering the Boston Celtics have always had some of the nicest jerseys in the NBA, we like how their City Edition jerseys mimic that. These have an almost regal feel to them, looking like they could have been worn by Bill Russell 60 years ago but still look modern enough to look great today.

Portland Trail Blazers

Orlando Magic

Houston Rockets

Minnesota Timberwolves

Cleveland Cleveland

New Orleans Pelicans

Detroit Pistons

Dallas Mavericks

New York Knicks

LA Lakers

Golden State Warriors

The Memphis Grizzlies’ team name on the front is unintelligible, though it’s probably supposed to look futuristic. If this is what the future of jersey designs is going to be, the future is quite bleak.

LA Clippers

Washington Wizards

The medieval font spelling out District along with the player numbers, the Washington Wizards City Edition jerseys are the definition of mediocre. Sometimes when a team is in the gutter like Washington is right now (the Wizards are very early on in a huge rebuild), that trickles all around the franchise to where other aspects of the team suffer… like jersey designs. That could be what’s going on here.

Brooklyn Nets

Indiana Pacers

Miami Heat

Denver Nuggets
