It's only right to point out the performances that deserve extra recognition. Some girls on this list have played their last high school game, while some have only begun their young careers. Nonetheless, here are the 10 standouts from last week.
Reese Fiore, Shore
Her 39-point performance over Highland Park on Tuesday put the junior over her 1,000th career point mark. Her nine points and rebounds showing in the final round over the weekend also makes her a three-time sectional champion - Shore defeated Middlesex 44-36 for the Central Group 1 crown.
Kiera McKown, Howell
The junior was the most consistent piece in their historical run last week that took Howell to its first sectional title in program history. The Central Jersey Group 4 champs' center averaged just under 10 points in their run last week. McKown has been a rebounding machine all season long, but it was her 11 points in the final round 48-25 win over Hightstown that stood out most.
Christina Liggio, Red Bank Catholic
The junior guard came up big in the South Non-Public A semifinal round win over St. John Vianney on Thursday. She scroed 14 points and knocked down four key free throws in the fourth quarter to hold the lead even when leading scorer Addy Nyemchek went out for the rest of the game in the third quarter.
Jada Lynch, St. Rose
Aside from being the main the top scorer for the Purple Roses all season, the sophomore's 20 points was accompanied by 13 rebounds against Ranney to advance them to the final round. She also had 26 points, 10 rebounds in the quarterfinals win over Holy Spirit on Monday.
Shea Donnelly, Manasquan
Her 16 points and six rebound performance over Rumson-Fair Haven on Thursday, came clutch when the Warriors struggled to find offense. Donnelly came off the bench and scored her season-high that game as well.
Sylvie Notine, Rumson-Fair Haven
Despite having her season come to an end against Manasquan, the junior still manage to drop 20 points in a win over Holmdel in the round earlier.
Shayne Eldridge, Wall
A 30-point game in a win over Voorhees and a 14-point performance in a loss to New Providence in the semifinals warrants a spot on the list for the senior.
Ashley Kreiger, Ranney
The six-foot-two forward finished her freshman campaign with 15 points and seven rebounds in a quarterfinals loss to St. Rose. She also had 12 points and 10 rebounds against Wildwood Catholic the round before.
