Here’s a look at the biggest and best game the National Football League has to offer next week. That’s right, we’re talking Super Bowl LIV, which will pit the San Francisco 49ers against the Kansas City Chiefs.

Chiefs vs. 49ers

Sunday, Feb. 2 at 6:30 p.m. ET

The 2019-2020 NFL season has finally come down to this. The upstart San Francisco 49ers, who went just 4-12 last season, find themselves taking on Patrick Mahomes and the offensive juggernaut Kansas City Chiefs.

The contest promises to be evenly matched. The Chiefs may have an edge offensively, but that’s evened out by the 49ers’ spectacular defense, which has been aided by No. 2 overall pick Nick Bosa. He’ll do his best to disrupt Mahomes, and put enough pressure on the quarterback so that Mahomes can’t throw the deep ball to Tyreek Hill.

With that said, the 49ers’ offense and the Chiefs’ defense should not be underestimated. Jimmy Garoppolo and the 49ers have been hyper efficient on offense throughout the season. The team has relied on the running game — led by Raheem Mosert — in the postseason, but Garoppolo and pass catchers George Kittle, Deebo Samuel and Emmanuel Sanders are all capable of doing damage. The Chiefs’ defense, led by Frank Clark, Tyrann Mathieu, should have its hands full.

All of that gives Super Bowl LIV a chance to become one of the closest Super Bowls in recent memory.
