US Open finalist Kei Nishikori's face graces Cup Noodle package

Japanese tennis star Kei Nishikori became the first Asian-born male to reach a Grand Slam final after he ousted top-seeded Novak Djokovic in the US Open semifinals earlier this month. He would go on to lose to Marin Cilic, but that hasn't dampened his popularity in Japan.

In fact, Nissin, the manufacturer of the ramen product Cup Noodle, announced Tuesday it would feature Nishikori on its packaging beginning in late September.

According to the Wall Street Journal, only three people have been featured on a Cup Noodle package since it hit shelves in 1971, and one of those was Arnold Schwarzenegger.

That's some esteemed company.
