Texans want Danieal Manning to take pay cut

The Houston Texans have asked veteran safety Danieal Manning to reduce his salary for the 2014 season, according to a report from ESPN.com.

Manning is scheduled to earn $4.5 million and carry a cap figure of $6 million this upcoming year. Manning has yet to decide whether he'll take the pay cut, the report states.

Manning, 32, spent the majority of the 2013 season on injured reserve due to a leg injury.
