Redskins won't trade Kirk Cousins
The Redskins were reportedly considering putting Kirk Cousins on the trading block for a potential second-rounder.
That idea was either short-lived or non-existent.
According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, the Redskins have no interest in dealing Cousins at this time. Cousins filled in down the stretch as Washington's starting quarterback after the organization shelved Robert Griffin III due to lingering issues in his surgically-repaired knee.
Cousins is considered a quarterback with starting-caliber potential. If the Redskins do in fact keep him on the roster in 2014, they'll have one of the better backups in the NFL.
