Rams Blast Redskins, 24-0
The Rams created two turnovers, allowed just 206 total yards and dismantled the Redskins, 24-0, in Landover.
Shaun Hill found the end zone for two touchdowns against the Redskins on 16 of 22 passing for 213 yards and no interceptions. On the Redskins side, Colt McCoy did not fare as well on the day, going 20 of 32 with 199 yards passing, no touchdowns and two picks.
Benny Cunningham carried the ball three times for 20 yards in addition to five receptions for 28 yards. Jared Cook was a top receiver, catching four passes for 61 yards with two touchdowns.
The St. Louis defense was the major reason for the victory, limiting the Redskins to 27 yards rushing and 232 passing while forcing two interceptions. They terrorized McCoy and the Redskins offensive line with seven sacks.
Redskins wide receiver Pierre Garcon gave a standout effort with 95 receiving yards.
The Rams are at home to take on the Cardinals (9-3) next week while the Redskins travel to East Rutherford to meet the Giants (4-9).
