Nov 11 (The Sports Xchange) - Boston Bruins forward David Pastrnak has a small, non-displaced crack in his foot, general manager Don Sweeney said Wednesday. There is no timetable for Pastrnak's return. He hasn't played since Oct. 31. The 19-year-old Czech has two goals and four points in 10 games this season. He was selected by the Bruins in the first round (25th overall) of the 2014 NHL draft. Meanwhile, defenseman Dennis Seidenberg, who had back surgery in late September, is getting closer to a return. - - - The Chicago Blackhawks recalled forward Brandon Mashinter from the Rockford IceHogs of the American Hockey League. Mashinter, 27, is tied for second on the IceHogs with seven points (four goals, three assists) through 12 games in his first season as team captain. The Bradford, Ontario, native has 27 penalty minutes in 23 career NHL games with San Jose and the New York Rangers. - - - The Arizona Coyotes assigned forward Dustin Jeffrey to the Springfield Falcons of the American Hockey League. Gabriel, 22, was recalled by Minnesota for the second time this season on Monday and made his NHL debut on Tuesday night, registering five penalty minutes and one hit in 2:51 of ice time in the Wild's 5-3 win against Winnipeg. - - - The Tampa Bay Lightning reassigned forward Mike Blunden to the Syracuse Crunch of the American Hockey League. Blunden, 28, was recalled by the Lightning on Monday and was a healthy scratch for Tuesday night's game against the Buffalo Sabres.
