Beauty blogger Charmie Jane has figured out a hassle-free hack to achieve lust-worthy curls using a rather unusual tool: dish sponges. Clean dish sponges.
Jane’s video showing off the technique has already garnered some 748,000 views, and the clip makes the method look pretty easy. Jane simply separates her hair into sections and then wraps her locks around the sponges, securing them with elastic bands. So easy!
She suggests you sleep in the sponges to achieve perfect corkscrew curls. See her technique in this Instagram video.
The technique is very similar to the more conventional method of using hair rollers, as all our grans did back in the day. As a budget alternative, it could be worth a try.
