The Los Angeles Lakers clinched the No. 7 seed Wednesday with a win at the Kings. They will face the No. 2 seed, the Phoenix Suns. The Golden State Warriors clinched the No. 8 seed by beating the Trail Blazers (the Lakers win the tie with the Warriors based on a 4-0 head-to-head record). They'll face the top-seeded Dallas Mavericks.
The No. 3 San Antonio Spurs will face the No. 6 Denver Nuggets in one series. The No. 4 Utah Jazz will face the No. 5 Houston Rockets in another series, and the Rockets will have home-court advantage.
Eastern Conference
The Cleveland Cavaliers' earned the No. 2 seed with a win Wednesday over the Bucks and the Chicago Bulls' loss to the Nets. The Cavaliers will face the No. 7 Wizards in the first round. The Bulls (49-33) are the No. 5 seed and will host the No. 4 Miami Heat to open the first round.
The New Jersey Nets earned the No. 6 seed by beating the Bulls and winning the season series against the Washington Wizards. The Wizards earned the No. 7 seed by beating the Pacers.
The No. 6 Nets will face the No. 3 Toronto Raptors. The No. 7 Wizards will face the No. 2 Cavaliers, and the No. 8 Orlando Magic will face the top-seeded Detroit Pistons.
