Hallsville alum, Red Sox pitcher Justin Slaten says 'it's a privilege' to play for Boston

Former Hallsville Bobcat and current Red Sox reliever Justin Slaten said playing for Boston is a privilege and he feels a part of something special due to the history of the franchise. Slaten described his time as a Boston Red Sox, as well as growing up in East Texas, during an interview on East Texas Now on Wednesday. Slaten made the Red Sox Opening Day roster after being selected in the Rule 5 draft in December.
