Padres top Reds to snap skid

Manny Machado knocked in three runs and Yu Darvish fired five scoreless innings in his return from the injured list as the San Diego Padres snapped a five-game losing streak with a 6-4 win over the visiting Cincinnati Reds on Tuesday night. After throwing 50 of his 70 pitches for strikes, Darvish left with a 5-0 lead after San Diego reached Nick Martinez (0-2) for four runs in the bottom of the fifth. The big hit came from Machado, who drilled a three-run double on a high sinker from Martinez to make it 4-0.
