Caroline Wozniacki gets her hair tangled in her racquet during U.S. Open victory
Give Caroline Wozniacki credit. The Danish tennis star beat Aliaksandra Sasnovich 6-3, 6-4 in the second round of the U.S. Open but had to battle her own equipment in the process. During a point (which she lost), Wozniacki's ponytail got tangled up in her racquet.
The 24-year-old told reporters after the match it wasn't the first time her hair had gotten her in trouble. "It used to happen when I didn't braid my hair," said Wozniacki. "That's why I started braiding it. Once it gets a certain length, it gets stuck under your arm or in the racquet. But it's the first since it's been braided it got stuck. Not good. I still tried to hit the ball and it almost took my head off."
At least she had a sense of humor about the awkward moment.
