Heads up! Cringe at the most painful bicycle wreck you’ll see today

Ow. Ow ow OW. Readers, meet Yoann Offredo. Yoann, meet street sign.

This painful little collision happened on Sunday in the Paris-Roubaix, a one-day competition long regarded as one of the more treacherous in cycling. It's known as "l'enfer du nord," or "Hell of the north," and with routes including cobblestoned paths on its 254.4 kilometers, it often claims unwary cyclists.

Like poor Yoann. He made the mistake of looking back at exactly the wrong time, and, well ... boom. He was relatively unscathed, though he wasn't able to finish the day.

Thing is, he wasn't even the only one to suffer an ugly wreck this race. Here's Stijn Vandenbergh getting up close and personal with a spectator:

Your winner? Fabian Cancellara, who managed to avoid the carnage. Bravo, sir.
