Two guys went to a wrestling match ... and a wrestling match broke out?

Indian Ridge (N.C.) Porter Ridge Middle School grappling coach John Dickson has been charged with assault after fighting a Waxhaw (N.C.) Middle School wrestler's father in the parking lot outside a meet, according to an NBC Charlotte report.

Of course, the parent, Kenneth Kelly, may not be entirely innocent, either, since he allegedly pulled a knife on the coach. The two also may have exchanged words during the meet in which they both had sons participating, police said. The knife allegedly was not used in the fight.

"Mr. Dickson had approached Mr. Kelly while he was in his car and confronted him about an issue," Union County Sheriff's Office Captain Ronnie Whitaker told WCNC, "at which time Mr. Kelly reportedly pulled a knife out of his pocket and exited the vehicle with it."

Both men were arrested and since released -- Kelly on $1,500 bail and Dickson on a promissory note to appear in court, per the report. Both men have reportedly been relieved of their duties with the respective middle school wrestling clubs.

What's that saying about not brining a knife to a wresting match? Then again, these guys don't appear to be "The Untouchables."
