Saturday morning Americans were treated to a classic of a hockey game, as Team USA knocked off the Russians on their home ice. It was a 3-2 victory powered by superb shootout performances from T.J. Oshie and Jonathan Quick after a controversial non-goal from Russia late in the third. If you missed any of the epic, the Yahoo Sports team has you covered.

Here’s the full gamer from Greg Wyshynski, who was in attendance at the Bolshoy Ice Dome. If you want to follow along with the Puck Daddy live chat and pretend you were awake for the whole thing, it’s available here.
The hero of the game was Oshie, who scored four shootout goals. Dan Wetzel took a close look at the newest American Olympic legend. The St. Louis Blues forward even got a congratulatory tweet from President Obama.
The game was not without controversy, as a Russian goal in the third period was disallowed due to the net being dislodged. Russian Slava Voynov accused his Los Angeles Kings teammate Quick of purposely knocking the goal off its mooring to escape the onslaught. Russia is looking for positives after the heartbreaking loss.
