Everything you need to know about the U.S. - Russia hockey classic

Saturday morning Americans were treated to a classic of a hockey game, as Team USA knocked off the Russians on their home ice. It was a 3-2 victory powered by superb shootout performances from T.J. Oshie and Jonathan Quick after a controversial non-goal from Russia late in the third. If you missed any of the epic, the Yahoo Sports team has you covered.

The hero of the game was Oshie, who scored four shootout goals. Dan Wetzel took a close look at the newest American Olympic legend. The St. Louis Blues forward even got a congratulatory tweet from President Obama.

Eric Adelson recaps the ridiculous scene and investigates whether Russia tried to hide the results from those outside the arena.

The game was not without controversy, as a Russian goal in the third period was disallowed due to the net being dislodged. Russian Slava Voynov accused his Los Angeles Kings teammate Quick of purposely knocking the goal off its mooring to escape the onslaught. Russia is looking for positives after the heartbreaking loss.
