Tulsa scores on Hail Mary to end half vs. Oklahoma (Video)

Tulsa scored twice in a 12-second span, including on a Hail Mary, to cut Oklahoma’s lead from 21 points to just seven at halftime.

The successful Hail Mary was a 43-yard connection from Dane Evans to Keyarris Garrett on the final play of the half. It came immediately after Tulsa caught the Sooners sleeping and recovered a gutsy onside kick attempt.

The highlight reel play capped off a wild turn of events to end the half.

The Sooners were looking to add on to a 31-10 lead with less than three minutes left in the half when running back Joe Mixon fumbled at the Tulsa 21.

After the fumble, the Golden Hurricane quickly marched down the field. It took just 1:10 for Tulsa to capitalize on a nine-play, 80-yard touchdown drive that ended with a 28-yard strike from Evans to Keevan Lucas.

The onside kick came on the ensuing possession, setting up Garrett’s touchdown catch.

All of a sudden we have a game in Norman.
