Did Ohio State make a spelling error to the same recruit Michigan did?

Did Ohio State make a spelling error to the same recruit Michigan did?

Michigan caught a ton of flak last week when Rivals four-star running back Mike Weber tweeted out a personalized ESPN the Magazine cover sent from the Wolverines with a pretty blatant typo.

If you missed it, the cover featured Weber in a Michigan uniform with the caption “Michigan’s All-Amercian RB Mike Weber.”

Yeah, that’s not a good look – but typos happen all the time.

Predictably, Michigan became the butt of jokes across the college football landscape for a few days, but the Wolverines staffer who made the error is probably feeling much better now that Weber is saying that rival Ohio State also made an extremely similar error.

Take a look. “Deliver” is spelled incorrectly in this Sports Illustrated photoshop.

It’s pretty unbelievable that a mistake like that could happen to the exact same recruit one week later. Some are questioning its veracity and saying that any official OSU recruiting material would include head coach Urban Meyer's signature in the corner (like this one).

Weber, however, maintains that it was sent to him via direct message by an OSU assistant.

In case you were wondering, Weber, a native of Detroit, says the spelling errors won't impact his decision in any way.
