Welcome to our Dr. Saturday feature titled "Random offseason tweet of the day." With real games still months away, coaches and players will be tweeting about non-football-related things as the season approaches. In this space, we'll try to find the funniest and goofiest tweets of the day. If you see something, don't hesitate to send it to us.
We're going to guess that Michigan will be triple-checking all of the mock ESPN the Magazine covers it sends recruits from now on.
The Wolverines sent Rivals' four-star RB Mike Weber a cover touting his potential All-American selection if he came to Michigan. Oops. Can you spot the typo?
As the old saying goes, "let he who is without sin cast the first stone." Since typos are a brutal fact of life for someone who writes all day, we're not going to make a joke. They happen. But they're still cringe-worthy, especially after they get sent out publicly.
Weber mentioned the mistake on Twitter Tuesday. But he has it in his Twitter bio too.
@DameWebb they spelled American wrong and it's spreading everywhere— Uncle Mike (@mikeweber25) May 21, 2014
According to Rivals, Weber, the No. 2 recruit in the state of Michigan, has 11 scholarship offers. The Wolverines got a commitment from Darrin Kirkland Jr., the No. 1 recruit in Indiana, over the weekend.
