Brian Kelly judged a guacamole contest between Notre Dame players (Video)

Brian Kelly is not a fan of chunky guacamole.

The Notre Dame coach made an annual grilling appearance at a South Bend, Ind.-area Meijer grocery store and served as a judge for a guacamole competition between OL Mike McGlinchey and WR Corey Robinson.

Robinson, who is from San Antonio, claimed he was departing from his normal guacamole recipe by adding mango to it. That might have cost him the competition. While McGlinchy put both mango and jalapenos in his guac, he was declared the winner because of the texture of Robinson's dip. The mango pieces were apparently too large.

Kelly does obviously not rate guacamole on Food Network's site. This recipe for chunky mango guac has five stars. Take heart, Robinson. Food Network nation has your back.
