Arizona State QB Mike Bercovici has girlfriend run routes (Video)

Arizona State quarterback Mike Bercovici was looking to get some extra work in on Wednesday but had no one to throw with.

Instead of calling a teammate, he improvised and called on his girlfriend, ASU dancer Jaylee Merrill, to fill in. Check it out (from multiple angles!):

Merrill showed that she has pretty good hands. Catching a ball on the run 20 yards downfield isn’t as easy as it looks.

Bercovici, entering his redshirt senior season, saw significant playing time after Sun Devils starter Taylor Kelly went down with an injury last season. Overall, he threw for 1,445 yards, 12 touchdowns and four interceptions and is the clear favorite to land the starting role in 2015.
