Antonio Vazquez, Mexico's self-proclaimed "Grand Warlock" who looks more like Santa Claus after falling on hard times, says that the 2014 World Cup will be a "MAGICAL WAR" (caps mine). This cannot be disputed, as evidenced by the Ghanaian priest taking credit for Cristiano Ronaldo's pre-World Cup injuries (from which he has already recovered). But don't worry, Mexico fans. Because the Grand Warlock you didn't know you have is ready for whatever spells and potions his Cameroonian counterparts might throw at your team ahead of their first Group A match on June 13.
From Sky Sports:
"It's evident that in addition to a football war there will be magical war," said Mr Vazquez.
"Imagine that on June 13, which is St Anthony's day, and that we have all the advantages to win against Cameroon, 3,000 warlocks that have paid to be there at the stadium. So we always need to counterbalance this situation."
And with the help of his assistants, Vazquez held a ceremony (in front of the press, naturally) with a World Cup ball to fight against the thousands of warlocks he envisions in his mind.
