CB Carlos Rogers open to return to 49ers

Cornerback Carlos Rogers has only been with the San Francisco 49ers for one season, but he'd be happy to return for a long-term deal.

"It's about trying to keep this team together, because we've got something really special here," Rogers said, according to the San Jose Mercury News. "There's always bits and pieces you need to fulfill, and coaches and general managers will decide that. But keep this team as close as we can and we've got something special from the top down."

The 30-year-old Rogers pulled in a career-high six interceptions this season and said that he'd like his next deal to be for four or five years, but he'd leave his agent to figure that out, the Mercury News notes. But Niners fans should know that the team is telling Rogers that they'd like to get a deal done as quickly as possible.
