Yankees, Astros announce lineups for Wednesday night in the Bronx

The Yankees (24-13, 1st in AL East) aim to take yet another series victory when they take on the Astros (12-23, Last in AL West) tonight at 7:05 p.m. at Yankee Stadium.

If the Bronx Bombers win this evening, they'll clinch their ninth series win of the season, further establishing their tremendous start to the season.

Meanwhile, it couldn't be more of the opposite for Houston.

The Astros -- who have four World Series appearances and two titles since 2017 -- enter Wednesday with the second-worst record in the American League and have lost four of their previous six contests, including a 10-3 thrashing at the hands of the Yankees on Tuesday.

This has been a one-sided rivalry so far this season, with the Yankees winning all five matchups and outscoring Houston 31-14 in that span.

On the mound for New York will be Carlos Rodon. The veteran left-hander struggled in his previous outing, allowing eight hits and seven runs (six earned) in a 7-2 loss to the Orioles on May 2, a season-high for the 31-year-old.

In his career, Rodon's 3-1 with a 2.66 ERA and 60 strikeouts in 11 appearances against the Astros.
