Here are the WNC high school fall sports top performers for Week 3

Week 3 of the Western North Carolina high school fall sports season is here.

Each week we will highlight some of the top performers. This list is compiled from information provided to the Citizen Times (sports@citizentimes.com), or posted on MaxPreps or social media.

It will be updated throughout the week.

Boys Soccer

Quinn Roberts, Roberson: The senior striker had two goals in a 2-0 win vs. Ardrey Kell.

Thursday

Volleyball

Bailey Rowe, North Henderson: The senior middle hitter racked up 17 kills, six aces and five digs in a 3-0 win vs. Tuscola.

Leiann Marshall, North Henderson: The senior setter picked up 30 assists, seven digs and a block.

Mia Roland, Owen: The freshman recorded 15 kills, seven blocks and 18 digs in a 3-2 loss vs. Draughn.

Mable James, Pisgah: The junior middle hitter tallied 13 kills and three blocks in a 3-0 loss vs. Franklin.

Ada Kelley, Polk County: The senior outside hitter accumulated 11 kills, a block and four digs in a 3-0 win vs. Hendersonville.

Morgan Yoder, Polk County: The junior middle blocker had 13 kills, four digs and two assists.

Emma Moretz, Rosman: The senior outside hitter tallied 13 kills, a block and six digs in a 3-0 win vs. Avery County.

Emma Bryson, West Henderson: The junior middle blocker recorded 10 kills, two aces, five blocks and nine digs in a 3-0 win vs. Smoky Mountain.

Boys Soccer

Noah Backes, Brevard: The senior forward had five goals and two assists in a 9-0 win vs. Smoky Mountain.

Arturo Hernandez-Martinez, East Henderson: The senior striker recorded two goals in a 3-1 win vs. North Buncombe.

Ulises Padron-Perez, Franklin: The senior midfielder tallied a hat trick in a 4-1 win vs. Highlands.

Wednesday

Volleyball

Morgan Yoder, Polk County: The junior middle blocker recorded 14 kills, three aces, three total blocks and six digs in a 3-0 win vs. Roberson.

Sophia Overholt, Polk County: The junior outside hitter tallied 10 kills, a block and 10 digs.

Zaelea Eller, Polk County: The senior setter had 20 assists and four digs.

Boys Soccer

Clint Wagar, Asheville High: The senior goalkeeper made five saves in a 1-0 win vs. Christ School.

Temoc Verde, Asheville High: The junior striker recorded one goal.

Cain Hart, Avery County: The senior midfielder had a hat trick in a 5-1 win vs. West Wilkes.

Ethan Huggins, Brevard: The senior midfielder put up two goals in a 5-0 win vs. McDowell.

Noah Backes, Brevard: The senior forward notched two goals and an assist.

Alex Binuelo, Erwin: The sophomore forward racked up two goals and an assist in an 8-0 win vs. Chase.

Juan Argueta, Erwin: The sophomore forward tallied a hat trick and an assist.

Brandon Miranda, Enka: The junior midfielder had a hat trick and an assist in a 6-1 win vs. West Henderson.

Jason Pina, Pisgah: The senior midfielder recorded a goal and two assists in a 6-1 win vs. Murphy.

Emanuel Albarran, Polk County: The junior forward tallied two goals and two assists in a 6-0 win vs. Madison.

Ben Yang, Roberson: The senior goalkeeper made three saves in a 1-0 win vs. Owen.

Daniel Foster, Roberson: The senior striker scored the game-winning goal.

Ava Bella Christenbury, Madison: The junior outside hitter tallied 10 kills and 11 digs in a 3-0 win vs. Madison.

Bailey Rowe, North Henderson: The senior racked up 15 kills, four aces and seven digs in a 3-0 win vs. East Henderson.

Leiann Marshall, North Henderson: The senior setter earned 31 assists and six aces.

Mia Roland, Owen: The freshman recorded eight kills, five aces, two total blocks and 24 digs in a 3-0 win vs. North Buncombe.

Alldyn Queen, Pisgah: The junior setter paced the offense with 31 assists and racked up 13 digs and three aces in a 3-1 win vs. Mountain Heritage.

Mable James, Pisgah: The junior middle hitter had 14 kills, two total blocks and four digs.

Alissa Cheek, Rosman: The senior setter accumulated eight kills and 18 assists in a 3-0 win vs. North Carolina School of Science and Math: Morganton.

Grace Willis, Mitchell: The 5-foot-6 outside hitter recorded 10 kills and 12 aces in a 3-0 win vs. North Carolina School of Science and Math: Morganton.

Brandon Miranda, Enka: The junior forward racked up two goals and an assist in a 9-0 win vs. Swain County.

Shep Goldstein, Asheville High: The junior defender accumulated a goal and three assists in a 5-1 win vs. Tuscola.

James Black, Reynolds: He scored two goals in a 4-0 win vs. Hendersonville.

Ben Weaver, West Henderson: The senior midfielder recorded a goal and an assist in a 2-0 win vs. Freedom.

Cade Bright, Polk County: The senior goalkeeper made six saves in a 0-0 tie vs. East Henderson.

Quinn Roberts, Roberson: The senior striker recorded two goals in a 4-3 win vs. Watauga.

James Black, Reynolds: The senior striker tallied a goal and an assist in a 3-1 win vs. New Hanover.

Boys Cross Country

Will Fiore, Roberson: The senior finished first and set a personal best time of 16:16.80 at the WNC Cross Country Carnival.

Eli Clonch, West Henderson: The junior was the runner-up and set a personal record time of 16:23.60 at the WNC Cross Country Carnival.

Nicholas Gibson, Roberson: The senior tallied an eighth-place finish with a time of 16:43.10.

Holden Rozof, Carolina Day: The junior recorded an 11th-place finish while turning in a personal best time of 16:49.60 at the WNC Cross Country Carnival.

Hudson Rice, West Henderson: The senior finished 12th and submitted a time of 16:52.90.

WNC HS FOOTBALL POWER RANKINGS WEEK 3: Another new No. 1

Girls Cross Country

Breanna Budzinkski, West Henderson: The senior finished first with a time of 19:04.30.

Katie Johnson, North Buncombe: The senior tallied a third-place finish with a time of 19:45 at the WNC Cross Country Carnival.

Sydney Moss, Roberson: The senior turned in a seventh-place finish along with a time of 20:14.30.

Annie Lewis, Swain County: The sophomore finished eighth with a time of 20:23.90 at the WNC Cross Country Carnival.
