Even Steph Curry's father, Dell, was surprised by his son's 50-point Game 7 performance in the first-round playoff series against the Sacramento Kings.
Curry finished the game with 50 points, eight rebounds and six assists on 20-of-38 shooting from the field and 7 of 18 from 3-point range, becoming the first player in NBA history to score 50 points in a Game 7.
The elder Curry spoke with NBC Sports Bay Area's Festus Ezeli on "Warriors Pregame Live" before Game 3 of the Western Conference semifinals against the Los Angeles Lakers on Saturday at Crypto.com Arena, where he explained why he was surprised with his son's performance after having witnessed so many throughout Steph's 14-year career.
"Yeah that was another game where you say 'wow' and I thought we were done with all those games," Dell Curry said. "But to do it in that atmosphere with so much on the line, you lose you go home, you win your advance.
"To have that kind of game in that kind of scenario ... I won't say 'pressure,' I don't think that's a proper word. He wasn't feeling any pressure. If you're feeling pressure you don't score 50. Just to do it, under those circumstances, was really special."

Fortunately for the Warriors, Curry continues to deliver 'wow' performances well into his age-35 season.
At this point, nothing is surprising about what Curry can do on the court.
