Why the Jets should use rookie Breece Hall as a receiver

The New York Jets are excited about Breece Hall.

At the 2022 NFL draft, the running back fell to the Jets. He was the first rusher taken off the board but not until Round 2.

New York is so pumped up about him, it only took spring practice before reports indicated he could be the team’s No. 1 rusher. However, Pro Football Focus suggests the Jets need to use Hall in more than one way.

Hall’s skills taking the ball out of the backfield on carries is well know. Quarterback Zach Wilson should pay attention to this: Hall came make things happen as a receiver, too.

According to the football analytics outlet, over the last two seasons after making a catch, Hall was very good. He broke more tackles after the catch than any other rusher in the NCAA:
