Welcome to the club: Tuesday's MetroWest and Milford Fantastic Five high school athletes

The regular season is winding down, but these Fantastic Five athletes aren't taking their feet off the gas.

They set program milestones, secured tournament berths and helped their teams play for end of season tournament titles.

As we all eagerly await the release of the state tournament brackets Saturday, check out Tuesday's Fantastic Five athletes from MetroWest and Milford:

SEAN BROWN, Bellingham boys ice hockey

The senior captain netted in a hat trick to secure the Blackhawks' first win of the season 9-4 over Leominster on Tuesday. Nathan Gervais scored twice for Bellingham (1-15-2).

SOPHIA HJERPE, Algonquin girls basketball

She poured in 20 points with 15 rebounds in a 52-43 win over Wayland in the Westborough Invitational Tournament semifinals. Ashley Dameri added 16 points and seven assists for the Titans, who clinched a state tournament berth with the win. They'll face Medway at 6 p.m. Wednesday for the title. Ava Renneker led the Warriors (8-12) with 25 points and nine steals, while Jenny Shine contributed a double-double with 11 points, 13 rebounds and four blocks.

JACK IANELLI, Hopkinton boys basketball

The senior point guard dropped 19 points with five assists in a 74-53 win over Wayland on Tuesday. Hopkinton's Sam Dadagian (eight rebounds) and Cooper Willadsen scored 12 points each, and James Marcinowski scored 10 for Hopkinton (17-3). Grant Larson led Wayland (4-16) with 20 points.

ALLIE REGAN, Framingham girls basketball

The junior scored a career high 30 points in a 59-54 win over Attleboro on Tuesday. Grace Hanna pulled down 14 rebounds with seven points for Framingham (12-7). Stephie Regan contributed 11 points, and Caroline Galvani had seven.

BRADY STEVENS, Wellesley boys basketball

The senior guard became just the third player in school history to score 1,000 points in his career when he dropped 34 points in a 69-58 win over Bishop Feehan on Monday. Stevens added six rebounds and made 10-of-11 free throws to help the Raiders reach the Blue Bombardiers Classic final Wednesday night. Stevens, the son of Celtics president of basketball operations Brad Stevens, is the first person to hit the milestone since 2000. Ben Palli added 11 points and five steals, while Spencer Briggs scored 10 for Wellesley (8-11).

Boys basketball

MILLIS 58, Prospect Hill Academy 37: Adam Hart had 14 points and eight rebounds for Millis (9-11) on Tuesday.

AMSA 66, Marlborough 47: C.J. Skowronek fired up 20 points, and Maurya Virmani netted nine of his 15 points in the fourth quarter as the Eagles (9-11) topped the Panthers (4-14) in a Central Mass. Tournament consolation game at Forekicks. Akrif Semakula scored 14 points for Marlborough.

ASSABET 68, West Boylston 42: Franki Lopriore and Brady Friend each had 13 points for Assabet (4-15) in a Central Mass. Tournament consolation. Assabet's Alexander Katsianounis hit two 3s and scored 12 points.

FRANKLIN 56, Natick 35: Caden Sullivan and Hansy Jacques scored 11 points each, as the Panthers finished the season undefeated against in-state competition with a Nick Gasper Invitational Championship on Tuesday. Tournament MVP Bradley Herndon added nine points for Franklin (21-1).

Girls basketball

NATICK 30, Westford Academy 18: Sophomore Kate McMahon stuffed the stat sheet with seven points, seven rebounds and three steals for the Redhawks (5-13) on Tuesday.

ST. PAUL 44, Westborough 29: Kate Sams led the Rangers (12-8) with 15 points on Tuesday in a Westborough Invitational Tournament consolation game.

Seeing double: Twins Shea and Shannon Welburn trouble for Wellesley girls basketball

HOPEDALE 47, Blackstone-Millville 17: Phoebe Carroll pulled down 10 rebounds with eight assists and four points for the Blue Raiders (10-10) on Tuesday in a Clark Tournament consolation game. Anna Fafard led Hopedale with nine points.

ASSABET 48, Southbridge 25: Ava Palizzolo dropped 20 points for Assabet (5-14), as the team took down Southbridge 48-25 in a Central Mass. Tournament consolation game Tuesday.

Boys ice hockey

WELLESLEY 3, Marshfield 1: Nils Tellander contributed a goal and an assist for the Raiders (14-4-2) Tuesday. Wellesley goalie Ryan Ocampo made 19 saves.
