Wednesday’s Top Prep Spring Performers from baseball, tennis and lacrosse
Highlights from Wednesday in high school spring sports:
BASEBALL
Dean Barkman allowed two hits and one run while striking out four in five innings, Jayden Williams went 2 for 3 with a double, Zach Nagy was 1 for 4 with an RBI, Noah Vasquez and Ethan Hall each went 1 for 3, Peyton Visage had an RBI, and Caden Salazar was 1 for 2 with a double to lead Royal (2-0) to a 3-2 victory over Los Altos.
Adam Arth had a two-run single to start a seven-run top of the seventh inning and James Markov allowed just one hit in three scoreless innings of relief to earn the win as Foothill Tech defeated Channel Islands 7-1. Starter Jack Pankratz allowed two hits and an unearned run in three innings, Jackson Basurto pitched a scoreless inning, Hayden Villa had a double and two RBIs, Robert Juker was 2 for 4 with two doubles and an RBI, Bronson Taylor was 2 for 3 with a double, Tristen Stehle went 2 for 4, and Shane White was 2 for 3 with a double and two runs scored for the Dragons.

BOYS TENNIS
Kei Ohya swept his singles sets and the doubles teams of Karthik Tholudurm and Jason Kiang and Aaron Kim and Clark Liang swept their sets to lead Newbury Park to a 12-6 win over Cate.
Charlie Powers swept his singles sets and Greg Davis and Kiran Maserang swept their doubles sets to lead Foothill Tech to a 12-6 win over Ventura.

BOYS LACROSSE
Newbury Park defeated Birmingham 11-2.
Oaks Christian defeated Saugus 12-8.
