A way-too-early look at the 2025 draft: What positions do the Jaguars need next year?

The Jacksonville Jaguars have wrapped up the 2024 NFL Draft and are on to signing their undrafted free agent class.

They selected nine players in total during the draft, shoring up holes and adding depth to their roster. The team adequately addressed the wide receiver and defensive line positions in this draft.

Obviously, without a crystal ball it's hard to project what glaring needs the Jaguars will have a year from now.

Contracts to come: Jaguars to pick up fifth-year options for QB Trevor Lawrence, RB Travis Etienne

But early selections could include boundary cornerback depending on Tyson Campbell's status with the team, offensive tackle depending on Walker Little's status and edge rusher for depth behind Travon Walker and Josh Allen.

Let's take a look at some of the best options.

Will Campbell, OT, LSU

The Jaguars took three Tigers in 2024, why not take the same approach going into next year. It'll be interesting to see where Jacksonville is picking but it'd be assumed they're in the same range if not later.

They'll miss out on several early tackles but Campbell could make for a good mid to late round selection.

Cam Miller, CB, Penn State

Miller is from Northeast Florida and the Jaguars will likely need to spend an early pick on a boundary cornerback next year. A merger between him and the hometown team might work well in the second round.

J.J. Weaver, EDGE, Kentucky

Weaver is going to be a sixth-year senior next season but he's been very productive so far in his career. He's appeared in 48 games with 29 starts and has produced 16.5 sacks.
