WATCH: Pregame scuffle occurs between Colorado and Colorado State
The tension between the Colorado Buffaloes and the Colorado State Rams hit a breaking point during warmups on Saturday evening.
According to Jake Shapiro of Denver Sports, a CSU player “swatted a pass intended for Travis Hunter out of the air” to ignite a minor scuffle between the Buffs and Rams at midfield. Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders, of course, wasn’t pleased with CSU’s actions, and he exchanged heated words with opposing players. Hunter, too, was right in the middle of the fracas.
All of this happened about 90 minutes before kickoff at Folsom Field.
