How to watch Florida basketball on TV, live stream vs. Georgia in SEC Tournament

Florida basketball will begin SEC Tournament play on Thursday against a familiar face.

The No. 6-seed Florida Gators (21-10) will face 11th-seeded Georgia (17-15) at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tenn. Tip time is scheduled for 9:30 p.m., or 30 minutes after the conclusion of Ole Miss-Texas A&M.

Florida has won 10 straight games against Georgia, dating to 2019, and is 4-0 against current UGA coach Mike White, who left UF to coach the rival Bulldogs at the end of the 2021-22 season.

UF is 2-0 against Georgia this season, winning 102-98 in overtime at home on Jan. 27 and 88-82 in Athens, Ga., on Feb. 17.

Regardless of the outcome, Florida is assured a trip to the NCAA Tournament in its second season under coach Todd Golden. But the Gators could improve their seeding with a run in Nashville. UF is currently projected as a seven seed in the NCAA Tournament in most mock bracket websites.

A loss Thursday could drop UF to an 8 or 9 seed. Florida is coming off a 79-78 loss at Vanderbilt in its regular season finale.

"We feel like when we're playing our best we can compete and beat anybody so that's the goal,"" Golden said. "Obviously, having to play four games makes that a lot more difficult and you have to take it one day at a time."
