Draymond Green rolled back the years as he produced a stellar defensive performance to help the Golden State Warriors defeat the San Antonio Spurs on Sunday (March 31). The veteran forward’s defensive IQ was on display as he helped lock down impressive rookie Victor Wembanyama.
The Warriors have now won four straight games. They are finding their identity at the right time and look likely to secure a spot in the 2024 play-in tournament. Green will play a significant role in the Warriors’ success in the coming months. He will likely hope a stretch of elite-level performances will help him overcome a difficult season that has seen him serve two suspensions.
Green’s showing against the Spurs was certainly a step in the right direction. It would appear the Warriors’ social media team agrees. They quickly posted a highlight reel of the veteran forward’s game against the Spurs to their YouTube channel.
