How to watch Bears-Vikings game in Week 6: Streaming, odds, injuries and schedule

Chicago Bears quarterback Justin Fields throws over Washington Commanders defensive tackle Daron Payne during the second half at FedExField.

After a dominant performance in Week 5 to pick up their first win of the season, the Chicago Bears (1-4) return home to Soldier Field to take on the Minnesota Vikings (1-4).

Chicago is coming off 10 days rest right now, which should put them in a good position to take down their divisional foes, especially considering Minnesota's star receiver Justin Jefferson just went on IR with a hamstring injury. This could be Chicago's opportunity to climb out of the NFC North basement. Here's everything you need to know.

Matchup News:

Injuries provide opportunities for Vikings receiving corps

This is a matchup between two very low-ranking defenses. Statistically speaking, both teams should destroy the over. However, there are key injuries to offensive players on both sides of the ball and that puts each team's output in question. For Minnesota, the loss of Justin Jefferson is obviously devastating. The team will look to rookie Jordan Addison to step up in his absence. That said, Addison is dealing with his own injury right now, and could be hobbled come game time Sunday. If that is the case, Minnesota will look to rely on 4th-year wideout K.J. Osborn.

Osborn has never been thrust into a WR1 role and it's difficult to tell if he'll be able to handle that workload. If there was ever a team to put that workload to the test though, it would be the Chicago Bears. The Bears have allowed six touchdowns to wide receivers in five games, including three over their last two. They've also allowed at least 13 receptions from wide receivers in three of their five games. Osborn could be the only option at wide receiver with any experience going into Sunday, meaning the team will lean on him heavily if Addison is out.

Of course, the absence of Addison and Jefferson could always mean more looks for tight end T.J. Hockenson. The Iowa product has been outstanding since joining the team last year and the Bears are fresh off a game where Commanders tight end Logan Thomas went off for nine receptions, 77 yards, and a touchdown. That was the third-highest yardage total of Thomas' career and tied for the second-highest reception total. Hockenson is far more talented than Thomas, and Thomas had to compete with the likes of Terry McLaurin, Jahan Dotson, and Curtis Samuel for targets. There will be no such competition for Hockenson.

Can DJ Moore have repeat performance for Bears?

On the Bears side, should running backs Roschon Johnson and Khalil Herbert not be able to play, the team will rely on veteran D'Onta Foreman. Foreman was brought in at the start of the season from the Carolina Panthers in limited work. While he was expected to compete for the starting job during training camp, he has only compiled five carries through five games.

The focal point of this offense will obviously be DJ Moore and Cole Kmet though. The pair have been awesome over the last two weeks and have played pivotal roles in the quarterback Justin Fields' resurgence. For Kmet, the Vikings have given up at least six receptions to opposing tight ends in three of their last four games. They've also allowed three touchdowns to the position. That said, two of them were from one yard out and one was to Travis Kelce so take that stat with a grain of salt.

The big question will be whether or not DJ Moore can repeat his performance from Week 5 where he recorded eight receptions, 230 yards, and three touchdowns, earning himself NFC Offensive Player of the Week honors. Moore has scored in each of the Bears' last three games and will look to continue that trend against a Vikings defense that allowed 415 yards to the Chargers' wide receivers in Week 3 and has surrendered six touchdowns to opposing wide receivers thus far.
