Warriors vs. 76ers: Predictions, picks, odds, injuries for Wednesday NBA action

There's a week and a half left until NBA All-Star weekend and teams have a handful of games left until the break. Wednesday's NBA action includes multiple inter-conference matchups, including the Golden State Warriors (22-25) taking on the Philadelphia 76ers (30-19) on the road.

The Warriors have won three of their last four games, including a 109-98 win over the Brooklyn Nets on Monday. All-Star guard Stephen Curry's averaged 36.5 points in that stretch, including a 60-point effort in the Warriors' 141-134 overtime loss to the Atlanta Hawks last Saturday.

NBA trade deadline: LeBron James, Sixers, Suns have most to lose

Philadelphia's coming into Wednesday's game after learning defending MVP Joel Embiid will miss time due to a knee procedure. Embiid injured his knee in the 76ers' most recent game against the Warriors and will be out for multiple weeks. The 76ers have lost their last two games by a combined 31 points: 136-121 to the Nets and 118-102 to the Dallas Mavericks.

This is the second and last time these two teams will meet in the regular season. Golden State won the first matchup 119-107.

Michael Briggs writes, "With Klay Thompson riding the bench late in games due to lackluster shooting and Green iffy to play, the Warriors aren't at 100 percent. They may have beaten Philly at home a few games ago, but I don't envision lightning striking twice. Bet on the 76ers to win Wednesday."
