Walker Zimmerman and Hany Mukhtar of Nashville SC voted to 2023 MLS All-Star Game

Two of Nashville SC's best players, defender Walker Zimmerman and midfielder Hany Mukhtar, were voted to the 2023 MLS All-Star Game in Washington.

The MLS will take on the Premier League club Arsenal at Audi Field on July 19 (7:30 p.m. CT, Apple TV).

Mukhtar, the 2022 MVP, leads the MLS with 13 goals and goal contributions (20). He will be making his second consecutive all-star appearance. Mukhtar was the MLS Player of the Month for May.

Zimmerman will be playing in his fourth consecutive all-star game. He has been selected to the most all-star games on the 2023 roster.

Zimmerman has played 1,035 minutes with an 83.8 passing percentage this season while Nashville SC is only allowing 16 goals, the lowest in the league.

The 26-player roster consists of 12 players voted into the game by a combination of fans, players and media, 12 selected by D.C. United and All-Star coach Wayne Rooney and two commissioners’ selections.
