Wales XI vs Finland: Starting lineup, confirmed team news, injury latest for Euro 2024 play-off today

Wales head into tonight’s huge Euro 2024 play-off semi-final tie against Finland with captain Aaron Ramsey on the bench.

The veteran midfielder managed 18 minutes off the bench for Cardiff in their derby defeat to Swansea last weekend in just his third appearance since the middle of September, having battled multiple injury issues.

Wales have enjoyed success with the midfield partnership of Ethan Ampadu and Jordan James of late and that duo start again this evening, with Ramsey named as a substitute.

In attack, Brennan Johnson’s positive form for Tottenham earns a start in Cardiff while Kieffer Moore is only named on the bench, along with Dan James. Harry Wilson and David Brooks join Johnson up front instead.

Page is set to stick with his 3-4-3 setup for the visit of Finland and can call upon a settled defence despite several injury absences.

Tom Lockyer remains unavailable following his cardiac arrest whereas the trio of Joe Low, Ben Cabango and Wes Burns were all due to be on the bench before withdrawing through injury.

Danny Ward starts in between the posts from a selection of four goalkeepers, including Wayne Hennessey, Adam Davies and Tom King, all of whom have failed to play a minute of league football this season.
