According to the readers of the Enquirer, the B.O.B. — the Best Of Battle Creek among middle infielders — is Lincoln Fuller of Marshall in baseball and Kennedy Miller of Homer in softball. Isaiah Sullivan of Homer and Kennedy Halverson of Harper Creek were each second in their respective sports.

Why he is the 2B/SS in the Battle Creek area: As a rising prospect as a sophomore, Lincoln Fuller has come up big on offense for Marshall, leading the team in hits, batting average, slugging percentage and home runs. A bright spot on a rebuilding team, Fuller also has a .913 fielding percentage at shortstop.

Kennedy Miller
School: Homer
Class: Senior
Why she is the best 2B/SS in the Battle Creek area: After setting a school record for home runs in a season last year with 13 and earning all-area and all-conference honors, Kennedy Miller has had a big senior season at shortstop. She has continued to add to her offensive totals this year and is standout on defense and has committed to play at Concordia University.
