Laney's Kenzie Badawi named Wilmington-area midseason girls soccer player of the year
Bringing in over 35% of the fan vote, Laney's Kenzie Badawi is the Wilmington area fan's choice midseason girls soccer player of the year.
The Buccaneers junior has scored 14 goals and delivered two assists this spring, leading Laney to 10-3-1 record. Badawi has scored in every game she's played this season, finding the back of net twice on three separate occasions.
Ashley's Karina Peat finished second, bringing in 27% of the vote. For this poll, each of the area's 13 girls teams had one eligible nominee.
