It's time to vote for the Detroit Free Press Prep Athlete of the Week, presented by the Detroit Area Honda Dealers.
During the 2023-24 MHSAA season, our staff of reporters are scouring the state for the top performances each week, and every week we'll provide you five players for you to vote on.
By Friday morning, we'll publish the player you voted on to be the new Prep Athlete of the Week.
Here are the nominees:
Madisyn Aldridge, Flint Hamady: The freshman scored 26 points and added eight steals as Hamady knocked off Saginaw Nouvel, 72-15.
Cedric Huntley, Kalamazoo Loy Norrix: The senior scored 33 points as Loy Norrix defeated Parma Western, 76-73.
Craig Hureskin, Grand Rapids Ottawa Hills: The senior scored 51 points in Ottawa Hills’ 92-59 victory over Wayland.
Maddux Locke, Springport: The senior scored 30 points with five assists and five steals as Springport beat Hudson, 66-33.
Karter Richards, Grosse Pointe South: The senior topped the 1,000-point mark with a 37-point effort South’s 75-73 win over Harrison Township L’Anse Creuse.
