CCA's Carey, Neville voted Barker Honda Athletes of the Week in Houma- and Thibodaux-area
The votes are in and this week's Barker Honda Athletes of the Week in the Houma- and Thibodaux-area are Covenant Christian Academy basketball players and classmates Mikey Carey for the boys and Bethany Neville for the girls.

Carey led the Lions to back-to-back wins in district play as the regular season comes to an end. He received 50.5% of the vote, well clear of runner-up Tamaj Lagarde of A.J. Ellender basketball and Chris Coleman of H.L. Bourgeois basketball.

Neville led CCA to a win over Maurepas as the regular season closed to clinch a spot in the LHSAA playoffs. She received 78.1% of the vote, beating out runner-up Kylie Johnson of E.D. White basketball and third-place Gabby Campbell of Vandebilt Catholic basketball.
